Key Responsibilities Include:
- Enhance operational efficiency for sourcing in Canada by identifying innovative opportunities to minimize expenses and improve productivity.
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies, engage in negotiations with primary suppliers, and ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Perform comprehensive spend analysis, pinpoint productivity initiatives, and meet savings objectives. Collaborate with team members to oversee project implementation.
- Mitigate risks within the supplier network, ensuring that compliance and quality standards are consistently upheld.
- Share effective practices with regional sourcing leaders and work together on initiatives aimed at achieving cost reductions and enhancing performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to Preferred Supplier agreements, minimize leakage, and align with overarching sourcing strategies.
- Adhere to established Quality standards, regulations, and laws relevant to the category.
- Proactively identify and resolve any quality or compliance issues.
- Develop and sustain a qualified and compliant supplier network.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, or a High School Diploma with at least 10 years of sourcing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Capability to lead initiatives with remote teams and possess strong negotiation abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills across diverse cultures.
- Proven history of meeting commitments and achieving targets.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to excel in a matrixed environment and perform well under pressure.
The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the Client Healthcare Canadian team to enhance regional strategies and efficiencies in managing the supplier network for the MES Category. This position involves negotiating contracts for medical equipment services, managing supplier relationships, and spearheading cost-saving initiatives.
