Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a part-time postdoctoral professor to teach a course on quantitative methods in the field of conflict studies and human rights. The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and data analysis, as well as experience in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a course on quantitative methods, including statistical analysis and data visualization
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of postdoctoral students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the program in conflict studies and human rights

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as social sciences, economics, or psychology
  • Experience in teaching and research in quantitative methods
  • Strong background in statistics and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching at the postdoctoral level
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations
