Waste Collection Vehicle Operator

Emterra Group is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Waste Collection Vehicle Operator. This full-time position offers a competitive wage of $25.50 per hour.

Position Overview:

We are looking for skilled operators to manage our waste collection and recycling vehicles. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to safety and customer service while ensuring efficient route completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate waste collection and recycling vehicles;
  • Efficiently load materials from curbside into the collection truck;
  • Adhere to safe work practices at all times;
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in line with company standards;
  • Complete assigned routes promptly and safely;
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario DZ driver's license with a clean driving record;
  • At least one year of experience driving with a DZ license or an AZ graduate from a recognized driving institution;
  • Capability to lift weights up to 50lbs;
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, including MTO medical/drug testing, criminal history review, license verification, and employment confirmation;
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and a team-oriented individual.
