About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at MJG Trucking Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fluid Maintenance: Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids to ensure smooth operation of our equipment.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed to ensure the efficient operation of our maintenance team.
  • Engine Maintenance: Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment to prevent wear and tear.
  • Greasing and Lubrication: Grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Repair and Replacement: Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers, or radiators as needed to maintain the performance of our equipment.
  • On-Site Services: Provide on-site services to our customers to ensure their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Tire Maintenance: Repair and balance tires to ensure safe and efficient operation of our equipment.
  • Filter Replacement: Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling are required to perform tasks in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity is required to perform tasks that require fine motor skills.
Personal Suitability
  • Reliability: We are looking for a reliable individual who can commit to a permanent position.
  • Team Player: As a member of our maintenance team, you will be working closely with other technicians and mechanics to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
