Job Summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Advanced Practice Nurse to oversee the day-to-day clinical services of our inpatient team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical team and provide guidance on patient care and treatment plans.
  • Provide direct patient care and document all clinical visits in the medical record.
  • Participate in team rounds and other clinical meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Oversee the provision of medical care and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with families, referring sources, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Attend administrative meetings and participate in quality assurance and risk management activities.
  • Supervise medical trainees and other staff members as needed.
  • Facilitate integration of program services with other clinical programs and departments.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited graduate school.
  • Clinical experience in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness in inpatient settings preferred.
  • Board certification in psychiatric/mental health advanced practice nursing (CNS or NP).
  • Current, active, unrestricted licensure as a Massachusetts CNS or NP with prescriptive authority.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records.
