Fishmonger Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Fishmonger Assistant to join our team at Metro Inc. in Kirkland, QC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and stock fish and seafood products in the store, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Prepare and display fish and seafood products for sale, including weighing, labeling, and pricing.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about fish and seafood products.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions.
• Work collaboratively with the fish department team to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
