Position Overview
The Paramedic Culture and Well-Being Advisor plays a crucial role in enhancing the psychological and physical health of employees within Paramedic Services. This position is a contract role focused on the strategic planning, development, and evaluation of Well-Being Programs tailored to support our dedicated personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and implementation of Psychological Well-Being Programs for Paramedic Services.
- Develop and recommend programs and practices that promote psychological health and safety.
- Conduct assessments and surveys to identify psychological health needs and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation regarding work-related psychological health issues.
- Assist in the formulation of annual business plans and staffing proposals.
- Manage team budgets and expenses effectively.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including management, Human Resources, and external agencies.
- Establish and lead committees and task forces focused on well-being initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A University Degree in Health Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including research and data analysis.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
- Experience in policy development and evaluation.
- Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations related to Paramedic Services.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
- Leadership abilities, including strategic thinking and problem-solving.
