Nature of Work
The primary responsibilities of an employee in this role involve organizing, preparing, and executing a variety of activities aligned with the educational framework, aimed at promoting the holistic development of students in preschool and elementary settings, while ensuring their health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and engage in sports, cultural, leisure, and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors, in accordance with the educational program and intervention strategies.
- Research and identify suitable activities and games for the group, utilizing various resources, including the Internet.
- Create tailored games and crafts that cater to the interests and needs of the students.
- Assist students with dressing and undressing as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance.
- Support students during meal and snack times, ensuring adherence to hygiene and wellness standards.
- Oversee the safety and supervision of students, following established conduct rules and safety protocols; administer first aid and medications as required, in accordance with medical guidelines and school policies.
- Communicate with parents regarding student behavior and provide relevant information on a daily basis.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the premises and proper maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Assist students who seek help with their schoolwork, fostering a conducive environment for homework and lessons while respecting the teacher's directives.
- Participate in meetings organized by the day care service technician regarding the operation and organization of the service.
- Attend informational meetings for parents when requested.
- Contribute to the development of individualized education plans by sharing observations and suggestions regarding students with special needs or learning difficulties.
- Support the day care service technician with administrative tasks as needed.
- Utilize computers and various software applications to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Provide training to new day care service educators when required.
- Perform any other related duties as necessary.
