Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Pediatrics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of research projects related to neonatal infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in neonatal infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Develop and execute research project work plans and timelines
  • Conduct literature reviews and write research grant proposals
  • Assist with the ongoing growth, development, and administration of research projects
  • Prepare and submit conference abstracts and manuscripts
Requirements:
  • PhD in public health, clinical epidemiology, data science, or a health-related field
  • Proven accomplishments in epidemiology-related research, with a minimum of 2 years of research experience in women and child health-related disciplines
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to team development
  • High-level research skills, including research design, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional verbal and written science communication skills
