Job Title: Construction Worker

We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our team at Windward Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites as required.
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications: Level earth to fine grade specifications as directed by supervisors.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt as required.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials as directed by supervisors.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites as required.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites as required.
Requirements:
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with concrete vibrators, jackhammers, drills, and compactors.
  • Construction Specialization: Experience in driveways, residential, roads and bridges, sidewalks and curbs construction.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel regularly.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and overtime required.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and team player.
  • Experience: Willing to train and experience in a seasonal employment.

Language of Work: English

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
