This is a Full-Time opportunity with a duration of 15 months.
Expected Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,652.00

Our typical hiring range will be +/- 10% of the midpoint shown above.

Job Overview:

The Senior Accountant provides expert financial services and solutions to the organization. This role ensures that policies, programs, services, and strategies are effectively conceptualized, developed, and implemented. The Senior Accountant will serve as a consultative partner, offering expertise, analysis, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders to enable the organization to deliver operational and financial reporting efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant will undertake various duties, including:

Interpreting and clarifying financial accounting standards, corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines; Explaining the function of key business processes and systems; Conducting complex analyses and generating operational reports for high-level or external audiences; Performing primary and secondary reviews of colleagues' work; Supporting master data maintenance on financial operational systems as appropriate; Acting as a subject matter expert; Researching, developing, and implementing processes, policies, and procedures; Providing informal leadership through coaching and mentoring peers and staff; Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Drafting accounting position papers and standards interpretation memos as necessary.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience

An accredited professional accounting designation; A minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience; An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles with practical application skills; Proven ability to establish strong and trusting relationships with managers, employees, and peers; Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences; Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritizing tasks within established deadlines; Capacity to assist, direct, and provide ongoing review, feedback, and training on the operational activities of accountants; Demonstrated initiative and professional judgment; Ability to work with high accuracy and attention to detail; Proven leadership skills with the capacity to be self-motivated and work independently, as well as collaboratively; Strong interpersonal and motivational skills; Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities; Familiarity with corporate financial systems (SAP, BlackLine, Workiva); Proficient in MS Office Suite; Attention to detail.

Additional Responsibilities in Indirect Taxation and Treasury:

Monitoring tax legislation and reviewing current tax practices for planning purposes; Ensuring accurate indirect tax remittance and accounting; Supporting banking and stakeholder relationships; Providing direction for tax functions and advocating for tax-related issues; Identifying tax optimization strategies proactively; Facilitating tax education across teams and the organization; Determining optimal capital structure and managing liquidity, investments, and cash flow; Managing cash flow, borrowing, and investing activities; Managing foreign exchange risk and requirements; Overseeing treasury and investment management; Performing other duties as required.
