Job Title: Electrician

Fitterer Electric Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
  • Splice, join and connect wires
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems
  • Supervise other workers
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
  • Commission systems and components
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Own vehicle
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Hard hat
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral communication
  • Initiative
  • Organized
  • Team player
Work Environment:

Fitterer Electric Ltd offers a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in cold/refrigerated conditions.
