Job Title: Construction Helper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Helper to join our team at True North Homes & Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Construction Helper will assist in various tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and cleaning and lubricating cranes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work at heights, and be comfortable in a noisy and dusty environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other machinery
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights and in a noisy environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:

The Construction Helper will work in a rural area and will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, heights, and noise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will be able to lift and move heavy materials.
