Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our mental health care team, you will provide high-quality support to patients with mental health conditions, promoting their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily living activities, therapeutic interventions, and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course.
  • Competency in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledge in Aboriginal customs, traditions, and values.
