Talize is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our donation center team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience while processing donations and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to all donors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Donation Processing
- Receive and process donations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sort and categorize donations according to company guidelines.
- Operate a forklift, bailer, or garbage compactor as needed.
- Store Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the donation center and retail floor.
- Ensure all areas of the store are stocked and visually appealing.
- Inventory Management
- Accurately record and track inventory levels.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure optimal inventory management.
- Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Participate in floor changes, back-stock programs, and other initiatives as needed.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience working in retail or a similar environment.
- Previous experience operating a forklift, bailer, or garbage compactor is an asset.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
- Constant bending, reaching, and using hands for repetitive actions.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs without assistance throughout shift.
- Pushing and pulling merchandise containers on wheels weighing up to 500lbs.
- Exposure to dust throughout the designated shift.
- Exposure to periodic temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
- Requirements to have open availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Interaction with customers, clients, and the public at large.
