Overview

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the Store Manager in executing strategic initiatives and achieving operational targets, with a strong emphasis on store performance, brand representation, and talent development. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of daily store functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive personal and store sales performance by implementing effective revenue-generating strategies. Mentor and develop team members to surpass individual and collective performance goals, focusing on preparing potential leaders for future roles. Foster a premier shopping experience by leading the team in delivering exceptional brand service and establishing lasting customer relationships. Collaborate with the Store Manager to provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to enhance team performance. Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for all store positions. Support the Store Manager in meeting financial and operational targets, including expense management and loss prevention protocols. In the absence of the Store Manager, take charge of store scheduling, payroll oversight, and guiding the team to meet sales and profitability objectives. Contribute to weekly reporting as required by the Store Manager. Aid in monthly operational responsibilities, including supply management, financial reconciliations, safety compliance, and security checks. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure sound business practices and effectively communicate expectations to all staff members. Work alongside the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising strategies that align with brand standards. Maintain open communication with the Store Manager and corporate partners regarding product assortment, market trends, and inventory needs. Hold store keys and actively participate in store opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications

Full-Time Position Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2-3 years of experience in high-volume retail management. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and varied shifts. Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention. Proficient in computer applications, including POS systems and Microsoft Office, with strong mathematical and communication skills. Experience in staff development, including training, coaching, and performance management. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Physical capability to lift, push, and pull weights of 25-50 pounds occasionally. Physical demands include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb, and stand for extended periods, with repetitive use of upper extremities.
