Construction & Highway Contracts Specialist

Miller Paving AMC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Contracts Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the success of our construction and highway maintenance projects by ensuring seamless contract management and accurate cost estimation.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Contract Analysis & Project Planning: Meticulously review contracts and project plans to ensure clear understanding of specifications and requirements.
- Cost Estimation Expertise: Perform precise material and quantity take-offs, develop detailed cost estimates from first principles, and leverage historical cost data for informed analysis.
- Procurement & Negotiation: Solicit quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms, and contribute to pre-bid, post-bid, and post-award meetings.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market analytics and soundings to provide valuable insights into industry trends and pricing. Prepare compelling presentations to share your findings with stakeholders.
- Project Support & Compliance: Collaborate closely with project managers, assist in preparing change orders, and ensure strict adherence to contract terms and government regulations.
