Job Title: MS Neuro Immunologist

Manitoba Health is seeking a highly skilled MS Neuro Immunologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, and ordering lab tests and x-rays.

Main Job Duties:

  • Diagnose and treat diseases, including multiple sclerosis
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans
  • Order lab tests and x-rays as needed
  • Consult with other physicians as required

Academic Component:

  • Eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
  • Appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba

Work Environment:

The MS Clinic at the Health Sciences Centre serves as the provincial MS Clinic in Winnipeg. Our patient population includes nearly 3000 persons with demyelinating disease. We have four subspecialty trained MS neurologists, collectively adding up to about 1.35 FTE of clinical time.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Neurology
  • Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from a blend of fee-for-service income plus additional stipends. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
