Kitchen Helper Job Description

Manna Fresh Korea Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our food preparation and service areas are safe and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used, helping us to manage inventory and reduce waste.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that our food storage areas are well-organized and easily accessible.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, following proper food safety protocols.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, adhering to our safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that our inventory is well-managed.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, ensuring that our equipment is in good working condition.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for use in our kitchen.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Personal Suitability:
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30-40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
