We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Sibwest Building Restoration Inc. as a key member of our restoration team.
Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Carefully review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate completion of tasks.
- Select and Apply Insulation: Select the appropriate type of insulation required for the project and apply it using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.
- Measure and Cut Insulation Materials: Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Fit Insulation Around Obstructions: Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs to ensure a secure and effective insulation system.
- Apply Waterproofing Coatings: Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials to prevent moisture damage.
- Estimate Costs and Materials: Accurately estimate costs and materials required for the project to ensure efficient completion.
- Remove Hazardous Materials: Safely remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.
- Work Term and Hours: Work as a permanent employee, with a standard workweek of 30 to 40 hours.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
The work language is English, and the work environment is a standard office setting with occasional on-site work at construction sites.
