Position Overview

The Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the premises at FERNIE STANFORD HOTEL & RESORT. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and functional environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent Experience: Relevant hands-on experience may be accepted.
Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly empty waste containers and ensure cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Perform adjustments and minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; liaise with professionals for significant repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Execute minor appliance repairs as needed.
  • Conduct safety and security inspections to uphold standards.
