We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster/Sandblasting Assistant to join our team at Aegis Industrial Finishing Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality finishes for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare parts for blasting, adhering to work orders and ensuring accurate masking and degreasing.
• Safely stage parts on blast carts and transport them using a forklift, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Conduct thorough inspections of parts before and after blasting, identifying any concerns or defects.
• Collaborate with the Sandblaster to ensure blasted parts meet the required SSPC standards.
• Assist with media reclaim, sweeping and circulating media to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform other shop duties as assigned, including packing, sanding, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
• Prior sandblasting experience is essential, with a strong understanding of production flow and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and write in English, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to safely lift up to 50lbs, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
