About the Role:
The Valve Repair Assembly Technician is a key member of our production team, responsible for the repair and maintenance of valve equipment to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tear down, reassemble, and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Complete all related paperwork in an organized and efficient manner, including recording non-conformances as required.
- Inform the supervisor of any irregularities with orders or equipment.
- Organize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers, and racking.
- Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Related experience with valve repair, rebuild, and/or teardown is an asset.
- Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitor's equipment is an asset.
- A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Good communication (oral and written), organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
