Job Title: Roofing Apprentice

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofing Apprentice to join our team. As a Roofing Apprentice, you will assist experienced roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems, including asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Participate in the repair or replacement of single-ply roofing systems.
  • Learn from experienced roofers and develop skills in roofing techniques and safety procedures.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work under pressure.
Working Conditions:

Language:
  • English or French.
Work Schedule:
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
