About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at New Island Kingdom Restaurant INC. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll, including calculating salaries, wages, and benefits.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and credit card statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Setting: Willing to work in an urban area.
