Role Responsibilities:
In your capacity as the AMI Solutions Engineer within the Smart Meter Operations Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring that smart meter data and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) functionalities align with organizational goals. Your duties will include:
- Configuring and optimizing AMI systems, including Oracle Meter Data Management, Itron Head End System, and Itron Smart Meters.
- Supporting a high-performing, data-centric team in daily transaction processing and data quality oversight.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with various business units such as Customer Care, Billing Services, Meter Field Services, and IT, along with vendors and service providers associated with the Smart Meter Operations Centre.
- Sharing your expert knowledge with the Smart Meter Operations Centre and related business groups to sustain and enhance critical business functions, including billing services and outage management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Informatics.
- Approximately 3 years of experience in a technical solutions role that supports essential business functions.
- Proficiency in navigating and analyzing extensive data sets using SQL.
- Experience in project management, including requirements gathering, documentation, test planning, execution, and risk management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with meter technologies and utility operations is advantageous.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
