Role Objective:
Reporting to the IT Manager of Infrastructure and Operations, the IT Systems Specialist will be tasked with the installation and configuration of hardware, software, and operating systems within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to server hardware, software, and operating systems
- Analyze alerts generated by monitoring systems and implement corrective actions
- Ensure the efficient operation of complex server backup and monitoring solutions
- Oversee the deployment of software and patches across numerous systems, addressing any rollout failures
- Manage the distribution of software and security updates to various servers and workstations
- Conduct investigations into unique system issues and collaborate with teams to implement hardware and software modifications
- Ensure infrastructure performance aligns with service level expectations and conduct ongoing maintenance to enhance reliability and efficiency
- Develop and execute robust rollout schedules for software deployment
- Review backup operations and verify the integrity of backup data
- Assist with routine computer system maintenance, upgrades, and other daily tasks
- Research solutions for complex system challenges
- Provide advanced support for desktop support teams
- Assist with data center operations for servers and related infrastructure
- Perform additional duties as required to support Katz Group Canada
Qualifications for Success:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the field
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with System Center Operations Manager and System Center Configuration Manager
- Experience with NetBackup software and hardware solutions
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Services
- Proficiency with various modern operating systems, including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, and RedHat Linux
- Experience with diverse data center infrastructure, such as Cisco USC, NetApp storage, and HP ProLiant
