Magna Exteriors is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors, and light fixtures.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss options with management to correct the problem.
  • Replace faulty electrical components and position sensing devices.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
  • Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

Requirements

  • Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC and programming experience.
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic.
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding.
  • Good English (both written and verbal) communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles.
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic).
  • Experience with Labview is an asset.
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots.
  • Automotive experience is an asset.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will be required to work overtime when necessary. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with management and colleagues and must be willing to modify work hours and shifts on short notice as required.
