We are currently in search of a dedicated Junior Financial Accountant (Contract) to be situated at our Head Office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess a robust work ethic, and embody a positive attitude. This contract position is available immediately.

Qualifications:
  1. Completion of post-secondary education, ideally in business administration with a focus on accounting;
  2. 0-2 years of pertinent accounting experience;
  3. A proactive mindset, coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement;
  4. Exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and organizational capabilities are essential;
  5. Flexibility to manage priorities effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate within a team;
  6. Familiarity with accounting software;
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting in the upkeep of general ledger accounts and the preparation of financial statements and reports. This includes executing journal entries and reviewing the general ledger;
  2. Supporting operational reporting needs;
  3. Fostering relationships with financial and business analysts;
  4. Conducting all necessary accounting tasks in alignment with established accounting principles and standards;
  5. Assisting in the annual audit process.
