CAD Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to collaborate with our multi-disciplined engineering, design, and project teams.

The successful candidate will work with AutoCAD and other related products to develop design drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and modify AutoCAD drawings based on design provided by engineers.
  • Develop and read reinforced concrete and steel drawings, as well as mechanical and shop drawings.
  • Assist with design tasks, including calculations, load rating, structural modeling, and analyses, detailing, quantity, and cost estimates, under the supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Understand and meet project schedule and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Actively contribute to the delivery of a complete project, including phone or email correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completion.
  • Provide interdepartmental support (Civil, Electrical, Substation, T&D, etc.).
Requirements:
  • College Diploma (in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology) or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of relevant AutoCAD design experience.
  • High proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Proficient use of Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, construction, and civil plans.
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, or steel plate.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and assembly, fabrication, and construction workflows.
  • Knowledge of project management software and computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
