Position Overview

The Retail Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a retail service establishment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient management of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and manage a team of employees, including apprentices and sales associates.
  • Task Assignment: Allocate duties to sales personnel to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Recruitment and Training: Facilitate the hiring process and coordinate training sessions for new staff members.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain stock levels, ensuring availability of merchandise.
  • Returns Authorization: Approve the return of merchandise in accordance with store policies.
  • Sales Activities: Engage in selling merchandise and providing excellent customer service.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, inventory status, and personnel issues.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions.
Work Environment

This position is based in a retail service setting, requiring interaction with customers and staff in a dynamic environment.

Supervision

Direct supervision of 1 to 2 employees is expected.

Qualifications
  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, with a minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience.
Employment Details

This is a permanent position, with working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
