Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Best Western Terrace Inn and Terrace Inn Liquor Store. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our hotel and liquor store.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Work under pressure

Work Environment:

Our hotel and liquor store are located in a busy area, and you will be working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.
