Position Overview: Front Line Services Coordinator

The Salvation Army is in search of a dedicated Front Line Services Coordinator to deliver vital assistance to individuals accessing our services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring client welfare, maintaining safety protocols, and facilitating various support operations within the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Delivering client support
  • Ensuring safety and security
  • Providing essential support services
  • Performing specific duties related to service shifts

Client Support Duties

  • Engage with clients to evaluate their needs and offer appropriate assistance
  • Conduct intake and discharge processes
  • Offer emergency support as necessary
  • Manage donations and guide clients to suitable resources

Safety and Security Measures

  • Execute emergency protocols when required
  • Maintain communication with other service personnel
  • Uphold residency standards and address any misconduct
  • Provide support to other programs and carry out security assessments

Support Operations

  • Keep accurate records and report any maintenance issues
  • Attend to cleaning and upkeep responsibilities as needed
  • Engage in the planning and evaluation of services
  • Follow through on program responsibilities and expectations

Qualifications and Educational Background:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in social work or a related discipline

Experience and Expertise:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges
  • Familiarity with community resources and experience in Narcan administration

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and database management
  • Bilingual skills (English and French) are advantageous
  • Willingness to undergo background checks successfully
  • Alignment with the mission of The Salvation Army

Compensation: The starting salary is $19.61, with an increase to $20.14 upon successful completion of the probationary period.
