Job Summary

We are seeking a Co-op Student to join our team and contribute to our business objectives. As a Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to work in a team atmosphere, support business operations, and develop your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and understand business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and programming accordingly.
  • Utilize various system utilities, networking, and verification tools to diagnose and enhance system performance.
  • Help with troubleshooting operational data issues.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, demos, and daily stand-ups.
  • Provide support for various websites, SharePoint, Teams 365, and SAP support, including user assistance.
  • Assist with periodic data clean up and review.
Professional Development Opportunities

This Co-op Student opportunity will provide you with the chance to:

  • Understand operational, regulatory, and financial frameworks behind utilities in Ontario.
  • Understand SAP and how it's used to enable business processes at Hydro One Networks Inc.
  • Understand the power system of Ontario and its interconnections to neighboring systems.
  • Enhance communication skills by working with multiple departments.
  • Increase technical knowledge related to software and applications used to support work planning, scheduling, and completion.
  • Knowledge of industry-accepted standards.
  • Knowledge of Hydro One Networks Inc policies and practices.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid class G Ontario license is required.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Excellent communication, writing, research, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
