The Financial Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial operations within the company. This position involves managing day-to-day financial tasks, collaborating with various departments to streamline financial processes, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all payments within our broker administration system
  • Maintain both our general and trust accounts in accordance with regulators
  • Reconcile entries
  • Maintain proper historical records
  • Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements
  • Process payroll
  • Complete financial spreadsheets and regulatory forms

Requirements:

What You Bring:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Proficiency in financial software and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this role
  • Insurance industry experience is a definite asset
