Level Designer

We're seeking a skilled Level Designer to join our Haven Entertainment Studios project team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for crafting exceptional experiences for players and supporting the overall design vision for our game.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and iterate on game levels efficiently, leveraging game features and mechanics.
  • Implement your level through every stage of production, from design document to final polished product.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including artists, game designers, gameplay programmers, and sound designers, to ensure the design vision is realized.
  • Assess gameplay, navigation, and flow to ensure a memorable player experience is achieved, following the game direction.
  • Identify and address potential risks, dependencies, and constraints related to level design.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and be mindful of dependencies that might create blockers or challenges to resolve design challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in level design, seeking inspiration and insights from the multiplayer games market.

Requirements:

  • Shipped at least one AAA console title.
  • Strong interest in Multiplayer/Live Service games.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to review and assess levels against design criteria.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and concepts clearly across all disciplines.
  • A good awareness of the flow and pacing of a game.
  • Knowledge of Unreal level editing tools and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools.
