About the Role:

As a key member of the Groupe Rémabec team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities of the maintenance team to meet the needs of production. This includes managing the human resources of mechanics and electricians, applying best practices for continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective use of labor, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of safety and security among employees, and actively participate in the implementation of safety regulations.
  • Encourage safe behaviors and remain proactive in communicating with employees, setting a good example at all times.
  • Ensure continuous service according to production needs.
  • Prioritize tasks and plan corrective actions during downtime.
  • Use labor, materials, and equipment efficiently during floor tours or on-site presence.
  • Be the first point of contact for equipment failures.
  • Propose and advocate for projects with a return on investment.

Human Resources:

  • Know and respect the collective agreement.
  • Meet the labor needs.
  • Ensure the training of maintenance personnel and make necessary recommendations.
  • Mobilize and use leadership among employees, communicating the expectations of management and soliciting their commitment.
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with colleagues and employees.
