Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Advisor to join our team at Co-operators General Insurance Company. As an Insurance Advisor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our clients, identifying their insurance needs, and developing personalized solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Service: Sell and service Co-operators personal lines products, including auto and home insurance, and provide basic support for additional product lines.
  • Client Needs Assessment: Conduct front-line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines, and identify which risks require inspections and re-inspections.
  • Prospecting and Cross-Selling: Prospect and cross-sell by identifying and recommending additional products and services that benefit the client.
  • Client Service: Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to achieve individual and team goals, and provide guidance to support the development of peers.
Requirements
  • General Insurance License: Must have a General Insurance License or obtain one within two months of hire.
  • Provincial Licensing Requirements: Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses.
  • Experience: One year of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of auto and property insurance products, and experience with selling techniques is an asset.
