Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Logistics Planning Specialist to oversee and enhance outbound logistics processes, including order management, shipping, and claims for our operations. This role is pivotal in supporting our logistics team to meet the objectives of our logistics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adapt and implement standard logistics procedures and information flows, focusing on outbound logistics.
  • Propose and align local modifications to logistics processes based on established standards, aiming for continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Establish regional guidelines for distribution partners to ensure a consistent customer service process.
  • Coordinate closely with customers regarding orders, shipments, and documentation, ensuring alignment with internal departments.
  • Plan and execute import and export logistics in compliance with regulations.
  • Engage in various project phases, ensuring milestones are met and processes are refined during production.
  • Collaborate with production teams to align customer needs with manufacturing schedules, enhancing material flow and reducing lead times.
  • Work with IT to integrate logistics systems with factory management solutions.
  • Identify potential risks in logistics processes and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in logistics planning and execution.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of logistics plans and performance metrics, providing regular updates on key indicators.
  • Implement best practices within the facility and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Handle additional logistics-related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in outbound logistics planning, preferably in a global organization.
  • Experience with import and export operations.
  • Proficient in SAP modules PP and SD.
  • Experience in managing supplier-customer relationships.
  • Adept at navigating shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Global perspective with a customer-centric approach.
  • Experience in battery logistics or handling hazardous materials is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • German language skills are a plus.
