We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Specialist II to join our team at Renfrew Victoria Hospital. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and assistance to staff and patients via phone, email, and in-person
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures
- Participate in on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues
- Graduate of an approved minimum 2-year Community College Course with a degree relevant to the job requirements, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Ability to learn and support new applications
- Excellent attention to detail and applications training skills
- Excellent telephone, written and in-person communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities as well as a commitment to quality
- Able to perform the duties within the working conditions of the work area, including frequent interruptions
- Able to make decisions independently, prioritize and carry out various job functions ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion
- Must hold a valid Ontario driver's license for travel within the region
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
