We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to become a vital part of our team.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Shop Supervisor, you will leverage your technical skills to assemble, install, maintain, and repair equipment both in our facility and at client locations, while adhering to company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial equipment assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings, mechanical assembly diagrams, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience with general fabrication processes and familiarity with electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Experience with PLC programming is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems and custom equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite installations as needed.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
  • Valid driver's license and forklift certification are preferred.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and scissor lifts is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and execute fabrication drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
  • Manufacture components in accordance with specifications.
  • Assemble and fit fabricated parts, frames, and systems as per technical documentation.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as required.
  • Assist with the installation of electrical systems and components.
  • Conduct testing of equipment to ensure safety and compatibility post-installation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the overall efficiency of plant operations and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
