About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Edge Group Ltd. as a key member of our estimating department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Management
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Develop and maintain accurate cost models and databases
    • Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project requirements
  • Pre-qualification and Tendering
    • Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to clients
    • Assist in the development of tender documents and bid strategies
  • Project Coordination and Communication
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines
    • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Administrative and Technical Tasks
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project documents
    • Operate CADD software and other technical tools to support estimating and project management
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Diploma or degree in a related field (e.g. construction management, engineering)
    • WHMIS certification
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1-2 years of experience in estimating or a related field
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
    • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in CADD software and other technical tools
    • Strong spreadsheet skills (e.g. MS Excel)
