About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at ZAG Zyklotron AG. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise-level software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products that meet customer needs
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the establishment of priorities, timelines, and requirements for projects
  • Mentor junior developers through code reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
  • Develop and support internal applications to assist sales order management and customer support processes
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions on an Agile team
  • 1+ years of experience mentoring other developers
  • Excellent communication skills with product teams and fellow developers
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand customer needs
  • Advanced working experience with Java (11+), Spring Boot, relational databases, cloud architecture (preferably AWS), API design and development (preferably GraphQL), containers (preferably Docker), and Java unit testing frameworks (preferably JUnit)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of development experience in a SAAS environment, including microservices
  • Advanced knowledge of API structures/calls, preferably GraphQL
  • Intermediate/Advanced Cloud/Container experience, preferably in AWS
  • Intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Intermediate knowledge of CI/CD, Software Development Lifecycle, including unit testing
