Position Overview
The role of Senior Cloud Engineer is pivotal in our mission to provide a robust and reliable Payment Acceptance Platform through a Software as a Service (SAAS) model. This position involves the design, development, and maintenance of the software engineering tools and systems that support our cloud platform and its associated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver and uphold automation tools, including CI/CD/build pipelines, Infrastructure-as-code, automated testing solutions, and configuration/deployment management.
- Translate project requirements into dependable, scalable, and maintainable cloud-based automation systems for implementation by your peers.
- Enhance your technical expertise by mentoring colleagues through peer reviews and collaborative engineering practices.
- Work alongside production operations teams to facilitate the migration of on-premises solutions to cloud architectures.
- Contribute to the quality and maintainability of the platform by developing automation scripts, managing tools, and ensuring that solutions are repeatable, automated, and well-documented.
Candidate Profile
We seek innovative thinkers who can inspire positive change and demonstrate a proactive approach. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a software development-related discipline.
- Over 8 years of experience in software development tools, deployment, or operations-related fields.
- A strong passion for teamwork and mentorship, coupled with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Expertise in build, deployment, and configuration (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Octopus, Jenkins, Ansible, with a preference for experience in GCP.
- Significant experience with software development practices and tools like GIT/Stash, as well as familiarity with processes for building complex software solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Understanding of software development life cycle frameworks and methodologies, particularly Scrum.
