Job Summary:

As a Shop Lead at Kit and Ace, you will be responsible for leading by example to provide our guests with a world-class experience in the areas of product and culture. You will be able to speak authentically about who we are, and how to use our product. You will love design, value integrity, and not take yourself too seriously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate 30% of your time to lead, develop, coach, and guide your team in establishing goals and developing their competencies that drive performance.
  • Model the company culture and exemplify our shared values on a day-to-day basis.
  • Define, model, and demonstrate the behaviors that enhance engagement, build enduring relationships, and represent the Kit and Ace brand at all times.
  • Support the development of a culture that balances financial results and an execution-focus with a fun, dynamic, and creative atmosphere.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and development that embraces individuality.
  • Coach and train Educators, which assists in evolving shop functions and flow.
  • Successfully communicate special features, benefits, fabric properties, usage, and best care instructions.
  • Maintain knowledge of in-shop stock availability on the sales floor and in backrooms.
  • Actively maintain shop appearance, keeping merchandise stocked and organized, while ensuring that the shop is clean and well presented.
  • Receive and process stock from warehouse (Boxes can weigh lbs) which includes; unpacking, counting, tagging as required, folding, sizing, and placing on the floor, with overflow stock in back room and assigned storage areas.
  • Assist with re-stocking and pricing duties, including sale and holiday preparation as required.
  • Prepare merchandise for tailoring/alteration as may be required, by completing necessary documentation.
  • Arrange for mail and/or delivery, as required, to other locations and/or warehouse.
  • Complete standard opening and closing procedure.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale system accurately, process payments, refunds, and exchanges, and issue gift cards.
  • Participate in staff training and shop events as scheduled.
  • Support in additional duties as directed by management team.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year management experience preferred.
  • An undergraduate business-related degree or diploma.
  • Passion to deliver premier customer service.
  • Driven to exceed customer's expectations.
  • Optimistic, passionate, friendly, and authentic.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and is comfortable working in a team-focused environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – perceptive to customer needs.
  • Second language skills is an asset.
  • Capable of handling difficult customer-facing conversations and interactions.
  • Honest and positive, and able to effectively receive and communicate feedback.
  • Results-oriented and process-driven, with high expectations of self and team.
  • Work a flexible schedule that will include weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.

Working Team: Shop Team

Works Closely with: Retail Operations, Information Technology (shipping systems), and Brand
