The Program Coordinator plays a vital role within the Planning team in Facilities Management, overseeing the evaluation, coordination, and management of requests related to both clinical and non-clinical spaces, as well as space optimization efforts.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Space + Design, the Program Coordinator should possess a strong background in project planning and management, alongside exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in networking and presentations.
Project Optimization Initiation:
Engage with key stakeholders and technical experts to assess request scope statements and accurately define user requirements.
Space Planning:
Assist in unit-level planning by identifying necessary modifications and formulating recommendations for solutions.
Project Management Efficiency:
Create and maintain schedule reporting documents to keep project stakeholders informed about status and critical decision-making processes.
Financial Management:
Formulate project budgets for space optimization initiatives and uphold project cost controls. Ensure compliance with procurement policies during the acquisition of goods and services. Monitor all project-related expenditures against the approved budget. Lead the consulting team, which includes architects, engineers, contractors, and specialized consultants. Participate in the Master Planning and Master Programming of projects of varying sizes. Provide consistent updates to the Facilities Management and Planning management team.
Qualifications include a University Undergraduate Degree (B.A.) or a related field (Essential), 2-3 years of project management experience (Essential), excellent MS Office skills (Essential), and bilingualism in English and French (Preferred).
