We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry department at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients in the Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry department
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of patients and their families
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent clinical experience in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation preferred
- Recent/related courses in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation nursing preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent
