Work Schedule: 35 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the clarification of design and specification requirements, ensuring necessary modifications are implemented.
- Oversee engineering design modifications utilizing the established engineering change control process.
- Assist in the creation of specifications, bid documents, tender evaluations, and purchasing recommendations.
- Develop decision-making documents to assess options for optimal project outcomes, considering both cost and timeline.
- Coordinate the compilation of all relevant information for assigned projects and evaluate alternatives for planning input.
- Review contractor labor estimates, schedules, execution strategies, inspection plans, and project oversight documentation, ensuring stakeholder requirements are captured.
- Supervise the construction contractor's integrated project schedules, ensuring they are logically organized and resource-loaded to support effective project management.
- Maintain close communication with construction contractors regarding safety, engineering documentation, work plans, material handling, and project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide project managers with consistent updates, including summary reports, and participate in regular progress meetings.
- Stay informed about the latest practices in construction, budgeting, estimating, and scheduling, ensuring adherence to corporate procedures.
- Ensure compliance with processes during project execution and report any issues to management.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in project engineering.
- Experience in a Nuclear Engineering environment is preferred; candidates must be qualified as Nuclear Energy Workers.
- Familiarity with the Engineering Change Control process.
- Experience in interfacing with scheduling and work control teams.
- Modification Team Leader Qualification (QUAL 42293) is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in leading meetings and presentations.
- Willingness to engage with vendors and stakeholders.
- Interest in dynamic, challenging work environments that value initiative and self-motivation.
- Proven ability to deliver results consistently.
- Strong understanding of governance and procedures, with an analytical mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.
