Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Gregory Signs & Engraving Ltd. This role involves working with various metals to create structural components for a range of applications.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in metal fabrication or a related field.
Work Environment

The position is set in a physically demanding environment that may be dangerous and noisy. Candidates should be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish reference points and patterns for fabrication.
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to construct metal structures.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metalworking machinery.
  • Create patterns and templates for production.
Welding Techniques

Proficiency in various welding methods is essential, including:

  • MIG (Metal Inert Gas)
  • TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)
Equipment Proficiency

Experience with the following machinery is required:

  • Brakes and presses
  • Cutting torches
  • Shears
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines
Specialization Areas

The ideal candidate will have expertise in:

  • Structural metal or steel fabrication
  • Bridge construction
Physical Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Tools and Safety Equipment

Personal safety equipment required includes:

  • Safety glasses or goggles
  • Protective gloves
  • Ear plugs
Employment Details

This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. Employees will receive group insurance benefits as part of their compensation package.
