Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team at LINWOOD MOTOR. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems.

Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Relocation: Costs covered by employer
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors to assess whether to repair or replace automotive units.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Perform road tests on motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems as needed.
  • Document findings and report on work performed to maintain accurate records.
  • Provide customers with advice regarding completed work and future maintenance needs.

Requirements
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract) is required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Work Conditions

  • Overtime may be required.
  • Must provide own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots.
